Scary atmosphere is top notch. I get the sense that Slenderman was based on the last area of this game. The story was a bit loopy and I'm still not 100% sure what was going on. I really wish the combat system was better. Actions felt clunky and sometimes delayed. Ethan's slow walk was the worst for me. If I was getting attacked and chased by crazy people, I would not be taking my sweet ass time.
I love the Evil Dead movie series and I like the edition of the new character, Sam. The banter between the two was funny, but sometimes the dialogue felt lifeless. I like the weapon selection for both firearms and melee. The targeting system could have used a bit of tweaking, but it was an overall fun game. It can get a bit repetitive at times and the boss battles are ridiculously easy compared to some of the normal battles. I would play through it again.
Its a run and gun type of game. Trying to figure different ways to execute your foes was entertaining. "Fire in the Hole" is my favorite execution. =p The characters and dialogue were boisterous and lacking. I didn't really connect to any character in the game, though they all had elaborate insults to throw at each other. I found myself getting bored by the end and rushed just to beat it. The ending wasn't superb, but they left it open for a sequel.
Started this game a while ago with Jason, and we just recently best it. Its a fast paced, action packed racing game. I am not a huge fan of racing games, but I love this one! The story is over the top and ridiculous. It all works. The music is great to listen to as well. Jason and I got gold in a majority of the races. We eventually plan on playing it again and getting gold on all of them.
I love Sonic the Hedgehog, but I suck so bad at all the games. I do love the old style of Sonic and was glad to see him make a return. I definitely prefer the old style of play versus the 3D style. The remixes of old classic songs are fantastic and bring you back. You can beat the game within a day, but there are a lot of challenges to do and coins to collect in each level. I may do that one day, but I don't have the patience for it.
I loved the first season so much and was incredibly disappointed with the second season. Despite all the tough decisions I had to make, I didn't feel like it made any real impact to the story. Which is why the story felt so predictable. The end result would always be the same. I didn't feel any real connection with any of the other characters either, unlike the first one. Clementine, however, was awesome. Its not a bad game by any means, but it doesn't have the same impact as the first season.
This was such a fun game, even though if felt and played completely different from the other Bioshock games. I think one of the best things about this series is the story. Infinite doesn't disappoint. The characters feel very real and are fleshed out with their own stories. I thought only carrying 2 weapons would be limiting, but there are enough weapons scattered throughout the game to whet anyone's appetite for destruction. The Hand Cannon was my absolute favorite. I want to play it again.
Fun beat 'em up game. Played with Jason at Starfighters Arcade. Even though this is a beat 'em up, none of the enemies actually dies. They just get launched off screen. We beat the game in about 15 to 20 minutes with free play.
I love the Alien franchise and heard so many terrible things about this game. I played it anyway on co-op with Jason. The AI was terrible, the story was boring, and every time you try to end the game, it would automatically start up on Steam again. Two missions were even presented in the wrong order! The only entertainment that can be had is if you play with a friend, because then you can laugh at how bad this game is. No one is playing multi-player either so I can't even try that out.
Its a cute match game. The story regarding each elemental guardian was nice to read. However, the hidden object portions were quite dull. I just found myself not even searching for the actual difference, just clicked all over the screen until I found them all. It was much faster that way.
